One thing you may or may not know about me is that I have a degree in Secondary Education and taught Middle School Social Studies for two years before I became a Stay at Home Mama. Those two years of teaching grew me professionally and personally and revealed to me how much love and dedication teachers give to their students daily.
Now Judah attends preschool two days a week. Though he only sees his teachers for six hours a week, I have seen the positive impact and influence they have had on him this year. I wanted to create something to show my appreciation to them for teaching and loving my child.
I’ve created a cute printable card that you can print and write a sweet message on the back. The card reads, “Thank You for helping me grow this year.” In keeping with growing theme, I purchased these adorable chalk planters at Hobby Loby. They also had these fun card holders on sale #winning. Add some flower seed packets or boxes to the mix and this teacher appreciation gift is sure to show how loved and appreciated your child’s teacher is.
I know that thinking up gifts at the end of the year can feel costly and overwhelming because it’s just one more thing on your never ending to do list. But as a former teacher, these gifts really remind teachers that they are seen and the work they do, valued. Teaching most days is a thankless job. It’s amazing what receiving a little encouragement and thankfulness can do to re-energize a teacher’s spirit.
